Telecommunications Site Technician

GeocellCanada Inc. is seeking experienced Telecommunications Site Technicians to support wireless telecommunications projects across Canada.
Previous hands-on experience working as a Telecommunications Technician / Site Technician is required for this position. Candidates without relevant telecom field experience will not be considered.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of wireless telecommunications equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair wireless telecommunications equipment.
- Install antennas, Remote Radio Units (RRUs), TMAs, microwave equipment, fibre optic cabling, feeders, RF jumpers, hybrid cables, and associated hardware.
- Perform tower climbing, rooftop installations, rigging, equipment mounting, and related field activities.
- Install, terminate, splice, test, and troubleshoot fibre optic cabling.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment replacements, troubleshooting, and network upgrades.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, construction packages, and technical documentation.
- Conduct site surveys, equipment testing, commissioning, and quality inspections.
- Complete daily reports, testing documentation, site records, and as-built documentation.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and telecommunications test equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Comply with customer requirements and all applicable health and safety regulations.
- Travel to project locations across Canada as required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience as a Telecommunications Technician, Site Technician, Wireless Technician, or similar telecom field role is required.
- Applicants without previous telecommunications field experience will not be considered.
- Experience with wireless telecommunications equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge or experience with LTE, 5G, microwave, fibre optic, RF, and/or DC power systems.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Valid Canadian driver's licence.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel for project assignments throughout Canada.

Applicants who have relevant telecommunications experience but do not currently hold all required certifications may still be considered. Training may be provided based on operational requirements.
