What You'll Do
As an Educational Coordinator, you will provide leadership and oversight for inclusive Early Childhood Services that support preschool-aged children with diverse developmental and learning needs within Alberta Education PUF, Mild/Moderate, and EAL programs. This is not a traditional classroom teaching position.
You will:
- Lead and mentor educational assistants and educational staff
- Partner closely with families and community partners to build strong, respectful, and meaningful relationships
- Serve as a primary liaison between preschool centres, classroom teachers, families and the multidisciplinary team, including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and other specialists
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of individualized program plans and learning strategies
- Support community partner sites with professional development, programming and strategies
- Facilitate collaborative planning and problem-solving within educational teams to promote communication, self-regulation, engagement, independence, and meaningful participation
- Apply knowledge of child development and the Alberta Kindergarten curriculum to support high-quality programming
- Participate in ongoing professional learning and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education
- Alberta Permanent Teaching Certificate
- Classroom teaching experience preferred
- Experience working with children with diverse or complex learning needs is an asset
- Knowledge of Alberta Kindergarten curriculum and child development
- Valid Alberta Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Standard Childcare First Aid & CPR Level B (or willingness to obtain shortly after hire)
- Recent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Salary follows Alberta Teachers grid according to years of experience.
Pay: $69,000.00-$115,500.00 per year
Licence/Certification:
- Alberta Permanent Teaching Certificate (preferred)
