Rainbow Contractors is looking for a qualified Assembly line Supervisor. We require a team player to identify and actively drive process improvements and optimize our woodwork manufacturing process. The position requires being well organized, detail oriented, conscientious and reliable with strong communication skills. Responsibilities of this role:
- Ensure cabinetry production goals and deadlines are met without sacrificing the company’s standards for quality and craftsmanship
- Work closely with the Shop Manager and Project Managers on work scheduling to achieve company objectives
- Weekly scheduling of work, assignment and load leveling of tasks and oversight of workflow processes
- Responsible for training, safety, quality, accuracy, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of assembly team
- Continuously evaluate and improve production methods and flow and implement approved recommendations
Tasks:
Establish work schedules, Oversee safety of operations, Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers, Set up machines and equipment, Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines, Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques, Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations, Direct quality control inspections

Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Competency, Experience):

- Prepare and submit reports, Train or arrange for training, Recommend personnel actions, Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies, Read blueprints and drawings
- Strong understanding of Microsoft office suite of programs, especially Excel
- 3-5 years in a lead role or direct supervisory experience in manufacturing production environment
- experience with architectural millwork or/and cabinetry experience is preferable
-experience in Seradex, Microvellum is an asset
- In depth understanding of the latest production tools, procedures and safety practices
