Job Overview:
We are seeking professional, dependable, and customer-focused Event Security Guards to join our team. In this role, you will help provide a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, performers, and vendors at a variety of events, including concerts, festivals, sporting events, conferences, and private functions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional access control at designated entry and exit points.
- Verify tickets, credentials, and identification as required.
- Monitor and control crowd flow to help maintain a safe environment.
- Patrol event grounds to identify and report safety or security concerns.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and guest inquiries.
- Enforce venue policies and event rules in a respectful and courteous manner.
- Assist with directing attendees to entrances, exits, seating, parking, or other event areas.
- Monitor restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, event staff, emergency services, and law enforcement when necessary.
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation of any security-related events.
- Support emergency evacuation procedures and other emergency response protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible and professional security presence.
- Help protect guests, staff, performers, vendors, and property throughout the event.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or event management.
Qualifications:
- Security License: Must have a valid Security Guard Licence as required by local regulations.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in retail security or similar roles is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong observational and surveillance skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay alert and focused during long shifts.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for extended periods, respond quickly in emergencies, and conduct regular patrols.
- Teamwork & Independence: Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
