Position Information:
This role provides administrative and secretarial support to the Diabetes Education Centre.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Provide receptionist/administrative/secretarial support.
2. Scheduling and registering appointments for inpatient/outpatient/telephone clients.
3. Triage referrals.
4. Compile reports and prepare handouts.
5. Order materials and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Graduate of Office Administrative Program
- Medical terminology certificate.
- Computer skills including Word, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good Organizational and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication/public relation skills (both oral and written).
- Demonstrated skills at minute taking.
- Must be able to work independently and prioritize workload.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy.
- Satisfactory vulnerable person’s sector criminal background check.
- Internal candidates must have satisfactory attendance and performance appraisal in current position.
- Documented commitment to continuing education through inservice, staff meetings and self-motivated learning.

Salary Range: $25.57/hr - $29.07/hr
