Lead Renovation Carpenter / Multi-Skilled Tradesperson
G&R Saikali Contracting Ltd. is looking for an experienced Lead Renovation Carpenter / Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to join our growing team.
We specialize in high-quality residential renovations throughout the GTA, including bathrooms, kitchens, basements, additions, decks, and general home improvements. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can complete projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
Compensation
- $25.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
- Full-time position.
- Approximately 75 hours to 84 hours biweekly.
- Variable workweek, including occasional Saturdays.
- Some projects may require early starts (7:00 a.m.) or night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Complete renovation projects from demolition to final finishing.
- Read drawings and understand renovation layouts.
- Frame walls, ceilings, bulkheads, and structural modifications.
- Install insulation and vapour barrier.
- Hang, tape, plaster, sand, and finish drywall.
- Install doors, trim, baseboards, casing, and finish carpentry.
- Install flooring, tile, backsplashes, and shower systems.
- Perform painting and final touch-ups.
- Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, and other trades.
- Keep job sites organized, clean, and safe.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and project managers.
- Lead and train helpers when required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have experience in most or all of the following:
- Residential and commercial renovations.
- Framing.
- Drywall installation, taping, and plastering.
- Painting.
- Finish carpentry.
- Tile installation.
- Flooring installation.
- Basic demolition.
- Ability to read construction drawings.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.
