Position Summary
The Town of Milton is accepting applications for the part-time position of Concession Attendant. This position is responsible for food preparation, serving customers and other duties related to the operation of concessions. There are two primary locations: Milton Sports Centre and Sherwood Community Centre. And occasional work at the First Ontario Arts Centre. The Town is looking for dynamic, responsible individuals able to work in a fast paced work environment that possess excellent customer service skills. This position is a 9-month part time contract from September 2026 to June 2027 with the possibility of renewal. Successful candidates must be able to attend training in August. This position will be required to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
Perform a wide range of duties related to the operation of a food concession
Emphasis on food preparation, serving customers and maintaining a sanitary work area
Perform cash handling functions, inventory and restocking of supplies
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
Follow procedures for the opening and/or closing of concessions
Provide excellent customer service
Maintain equipment in an organized and clean manner
Complete all inventory functions/reports
Assist in planning and delivery of concessions during special events
Comply with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum grade 10 education
Must possess strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work well as part of a team, with minimal supervision in a fast pace work environment
Successful candidates will be required to provide a criminal records check with vulnerable sector screening dated within 6 months as a condition of employment
