We are currently seeking a dispatcher/planner for a short term contract beginning August 2026- March 2027 with the possibility of extension, to manage driver and equipment assets while supporting daily planning and dispatch operations for our night shift. This role works closely with drivers, planners, and internal teams to ensure efficient load execution and exceptional customer service. Saturday availability is required.
Responsibilities:
- Dispatch and manage drivers and equipment assets
- Communicate clearly with drivers, planners, managers, and customers
- Monitor load status and address delays or service issues
- Provide timely customer updates
- Review and process U.S. Customs documentation; assist with ACE / ACI as required
- Complete daily administrative tasks in TMW and customer portals
- Coordinate equipment servicing and safety with Maintenance
- Act as direct supervisor for the driver pool
- Document service failures and incidents when required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of dispatch experience
- Strong knowledge of the transportation industry
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- AZ driving experience is an asset, not required
