Harmony Specialty Pharmacy is a patient-focused specialty pharmacy dedicated to providing comprehensive support for patients receiving biologic and specialty medications. We work closely with physicians, clinics, pharmaceutical manufacturers, patient support programs, and payers to ensure seamless access to therapy and exceptional patient care.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Biologics & Access Coordinator. This role supports patient onboarding, biologic therapy coordination, and reimbursement/access navigation for specialty medications.
The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and experienced in dermatology and biologic specialty medications.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for patients initiating biologic and specialty therapies
- Provide onboarding and education on treatment, administration, adherence, and monitoring requirements
- Conduct follow-ups to assess adherence, side effects, and therapy outcomes
- Perform nursing assessments as appropriate and identify potential therapy-related concerns
- Escalate clinical concerns to pharmacists and prescribers when required
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Reimbursement & Access Coordination
- Support patients with public and private drug coverage navigation
- Complete and submit reimbursement, prior authorization, Exceptional Access Program (EAP), and special authorization forms
- Coordinate with patient support programs, insurers, and government payers
- Track approvals, renewals, and coverage updates to prevent treatment delays
- Follow up on outstanding applications and documentation requirements
Physician & Clinic Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physician offices and clinic teams
- Coordinate prescription renewals, lab requirements, and treatment documentation
- Communicate patient access updates and therapy status to healthcare providers
- Support clinics with biologic enrollment forms and reimbursement processes
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- 1–3 years of nursing experience
- Experience in dermatology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, immunology, or biologic specialty medications preferred
- Knowledge of ODB, EAP, Trillium Drug Program, and private insurance processes preferred
- Strong organizational, clinical, and communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Experience
- Dermatology and specialty medications (biologics)
- Reimbursement and patient access support programs
- Specialty pharmacy, infusion clinic, or patient support program experience
Schedule
Monday to Friday, Day Shift
No evenings or weekends
Pay: $33.00-$37.00 per hour
