URGENT HIRING – IMMEDIATE JOINING REQUIRED
TMSI is currently seeking an experienced Ship’s Cook for immediate joining aboard a Canadian-flagged vessel operating in Eastern Canada.
Position: Ship’s Cook
Start Date: ASAP
Trading Area: Eastern Canada
Employment Type: Relief / Temporary (with potential for future opportunities)
Schedule: 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotational. Payable bi-weekly.
Requirements:
- Valid Transport Canada Marine Medical
- Valid STCW Basic Safety (MED / Basic Safety Training)
- Valid Vessel Personnel with Security Responsibilities (VPWSR) Certificate
- Valid Passport
- Authorization to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid Work Permit holder)
- Previous Ship’s Cook experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, galley operations, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work independently and maintain a clean and organized galley
Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily meals for vessel crew
- Maintain galley cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Manage food inventory and assist with provisioning
- Comply with company safety, health, and sanitation procedures
