We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM Business/Functional Analyst to support a long-term enterprise enhancement initiative. This role is ideal for a seasoned consultant with extensive PeopleSoft HCM functional expertise, strong business analysis skills, and experience working in complex organizational environments.
This is a primarily remote engagement with occasional on-site participation required during key project phases.
Key Responsibilities
● Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
● Create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Design Documents (FDDs), and integration functional specifications.
● Design and document business process maps and workflow improvements.
● Support enhancements, integrations and optimizations of PeopleSoft HCM functionality.
● Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and technical teams to define and improve cross-functional business processes.
● Analyze and document integrations between PeopleSoft HCM and third-party systems.
● Ensure data quality and support compliance-related initiatives.
● Facilitate stakeholder workshops and provide recommendations for business process improvements.
Required Qualifications
● 10+ years of PeopleSoft HCM Business Analyst experience.
● Strong business analysis experience.
● Experience working within higher education institutions.
● Demonstrated knowledge of:
○ Position Management
○ Data Quality Controls
○ Preboarding Compliance
○ Vacation Accruals
○ Contract Entry
○ Integration capabilities within PeopleSoft HCM
● Experience mapping integrations between PeopleSoft HCM and third-party applications.
● Experience creating:
○ Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
○ Integration Functional Specifications
○ Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
● Ability to develop detailed business process maps and workflow documentation.
Functional Module Experience
Candidates must have experience with at least three of the following PeopleSoft HCM modules:
● Core HR
● Base Benefits and/or eBenefits
● Position Management
● Time and Labor
● Payroll
Preferred Qualifications
The following are not required but are strongly preferred:
● Oracle PeopleSoft Functional Certification.
● Professional Business Analyst certification (e.g., CBAP or equivalent).
Pay: $80.00-$110.00 per hour
