Role Description
We are hiring experienced Hot Shot Driver . This role supports transporting construction materials and equipment between our Production Facility in Crossfield and customer and vendor sites.
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to and from designated locations. (Company vehicles can include, 1/2 ton, 3/4 Ton, 1 Ton, 3 and 5 ton trucks; and trailers).
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Load and unload cargo as required, securing all loads
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Operates forklifts, pallet jacks and other machinery to move items on and off trucks, load material onto buildings etc.
- Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
- Keeps inventory, loading areas and machinery clean.
- Receives materials ensuring accuracy of order and quality of goods received.
- Assists other crews when required.
Experience:
- Valid class 3 or higher driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a driver or similar role
- Experienced with driving 3 ton truck and trailer
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to drive long distances and work flexible hours
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Forklift/ Telehandler training is an asset
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
Location:
This role is office based at our 200,000 square feet manufacturing facility 20 minutes North of Calgary in Crossfield, Alberta, strategically located near a High Load Corridor which allows us to transport loads up to 9 meters high to many parts of Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC, and the United States. Our employees live in Calgary, Airdrie and surrounding communities.
