Job Overview
Solis Clinic is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide intravenous (IV) iron infusions to pediatric patients in a safe, welcoming, and family-centered clinical environment.
The ideal candidate has experience caring for children, excellent clinical assessment skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with physician, patients, and families to ensure a positive treatment experience while promoting the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer IV iron infusions to pediatric patients according to physician orders and established clinical protocols.
- Assess patients before, during, and after treatment, monitoring for adverse reactions and responding appropriately.
- Provide compassionate, age-appropriate care that promotes comfort and reduces anxiety for children and their families.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medication information, potential side effects, and post-infusion care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection prevention and safety standards.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications & Skills
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) and in good standing with the applicable regulatory body.
- Previous pediatric nursing experience in a clinic, outpatient, or hospital setting is a must.
- Experience with IV therapy and infusion nursing is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing principles and patient assessment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to educate and support children and their families.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
