About the Role
We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant with a minimum of 2+ years of experience to join our team in Amherstburg, ON.
What You'll Be Doing
- Process written prescriptions and refill requests
- Greet patients and field incoming phone calls
- Dispense prescription medications accurately
- Support patients by answering basic questions, helping locate items, or directing them to the pharmacist for medication guidance
- Handle filing and scanning
- Build and update patient profiles, including individual medication histories
- Manage and replenish pharmacy stock using inventory control systems
- Run the cash register and process patient payments
- Stock and merchandise over the counter products
- Carry out administrative tasks such as answering phones, third party counts, and inventory checks
- Take on additional duties as the role requires
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a comparable position is an asset
- Familiarity with pharmacy dispensing software is an asset
- Strong communication abilities
- A track record of excellent patient and customer service
- Self motivated and dependable
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
