The Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare Foundation is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven, and strategic leader to serve as its next Executive Director. Reporting to both the Foundation Board of Directors and the HDGH CEO, the Executive Director/Director of Volunteer Services and Academic Placements will lead all aspects of the Foundation’s operations, fundraising strategy, donor engagement and community relations.
The HDGH Foundation supports the mission and strategic priorities of HDGH through charitable fundraising and stewardship activities that enhance patient care, support innovation, advance equipment and technology, and strengthen healthcare services for the community.
- Provides visionary leadership for the Foundation in alignment with the strategic priorities of the Hospital and the Foundation Board
- Develops and executes comprehensive fundraising and donor engagement strategies to support annual, major, planned and capital giving initiatives
- Fosters a high-performing, collaborative and accountable culture within the Foundation team
- Lead and grow a diversified fundraising portfolio including major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants, legacy giving, campaigns, and community fundraising initiatives.
- Build meaningful relationships with donors, prospects, sponsors, physicians, volunteers, and community leaders.
- Personally manage and steward key donor relationships and major gift opportunities
- Serve as visible ambassador for the Foundation and Hospital within the community.
- Oversee Foundation operations including budgeting, financial management, policies, reporting and compliance
- Ensure appropriate stewardship of donor funds and adherence to all regulatory and ethical fundraising standards
- Monitor fundraising performance metrics and provide regular reports to the Foundation Board
- Provides oversight of Academic Placement program with Universities and Colleges engaged in student placements at HDGH
- Provides oversight of the Volunteer Services program at HDGH
- Supports effective volunteer engagement and committee leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration or Related Discipline - Required
- Master's Degree in Public Administration, Business or Related Field - Preferred
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in a leadership role preferably in a hospital/ healthcare setting - Preferred
