Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Treatment Coordinator and Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. This dual role combines patient care, treatment planning, and administrative support to ensure a smooth and efficient dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, clinical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, along with familiarity in orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them through their dental treatment journey
- Explain treatment plans, procedures, and financial options clearly to patients
- Coordinate scheduling of appointments, follow-ups, and treatment sequences
- Utilize dental software such as Epic and Dentrix to manage patient records accurately
- Assist dentists during procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, including CAD/CAM technology
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment
- Handle administrative duties such as verifying insurance benefits, processing payments, and documenting patient information using medical terminology
- Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions
- Support the team with general dental assisting tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is preferred
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Epic and Dentrix is highly desirable
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and CAD/CAM technology is a plus
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly to patients
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical setting
- Certification in dental assisting or related field is preferred but not mandatory
- A professional attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding patient care
