ABOUT THE POSITION
We are hiring dependable Greenhouse Workers who are reliable, punctual, and motivated to join our team. We are looking for individuals to assist with handling flower plants and potted plants in a greenhouse environment. Responsibilities include lifting and moving flowerpots, placing plants onto conveyor lines for processing, sorting and organizing plants, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced greenhouse environment while following quality and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle and move flower plants and potted plants throughout the greenhouse.
- Lift and place flowerpots onto conveyor lines for processing.
- Sort, organize, and prepare plants for shipping or production.
- Inspect plants for quality and remove damaged or unsuitable products.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets.
- Perform other general greenhouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move flowerpots and plant trays as required.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Previous greenhouse or general labour experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent is an asset.
- Previous greenhouse, nursery, landscaping, warehouse, or general labour experience is an asset.
- Willingness to learn and follow company procedures.
Working Conditions
- Greenhouse environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Handling flower plants, pots, trays, and conveyor line operations.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) when applicable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
