Industrial/Facilities Maintenance Worker

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial/Facilities Maintenance Worker to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul a variety of stationary and mobile industrial machinery and mechanical equipment. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting production efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment.
The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, and the ability to diagnose and solve equipment issues efficiently. Experience with electrical wiring and electrical troubleshooting is considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Review work orders and discuss tasks with supervisor.
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions and determine repair or replacement requirements.
- Assemble and calibrate machinery and equipment prior to installation.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, forklifts, and powered mobile equipment.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts and components.
- Test and adjust equipment to ensure proper performance and specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, lathes, grinders, and other machine tools to fabricate or repair parts.
- Perform preventative maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, and routine servicing of machinery.
- Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately.
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities as required.
- Support facility and building maintenance, including heating and ventilation systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Training
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Vocational or technical training related to industrial mechanics/millwrighting is considered an asset.
Knowledge & Experience
- The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting industrial/manufacturing equipment; however, applicants with other levels of relevant experience and training will also be considered.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a focus on minimizing downtime.
- Experience working with mechanical assemblies, powered mobile equipment, and industrial machinery.
- Knowledge and safe use of shop tools, power tools, torque settings, and tolerances.
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is considered an asset.
- Electrical wiring, electrical troubleshooting, and basic electrical repair experience is preferred.

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
