Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/Woman <PERSON> to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in manufacturing, construction, or maintenance environments, with a strong background in welding, mechanical systems, and blueprint reading. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex projects that require precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing technical tasks that support the ongoing operations and maintenance of our facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to fabricate, repair, or modify metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other precision measurement instruments for assembly and inspection processes.
- Conduct HVAC system maintenance, plumbing repairs, and general mechanical work as required.
- Assist with rigging operations for equipment installation or movement within manufacturing or construction sites.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematic diagrams and technical knowledge to identify root causes.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, lubrication, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects requiring detailed schematics and technical expertise.
- Support manufacturing or construction activities by applying your knowledge of mechanical systems and tools.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman/Woman in manufacturing, construction, or maintenance fields.
- Extensive knowledge of welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, schematics, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, rigging equipment, and basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in manufacturing or construction environments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on complex projects requiring precision craftsmanship.
- Valid certification or licensing as a Journeyman/Woman is preferred but not mandatory if equivalent experience is demonstrated.
- Commitment to safety standards with the ability to identify potential hazards in the work environment.
