What you will do
Initial Preparation and Coordination
- Define corporate contractual strategies and frameworks
- Review and approve key contractual decisions
- Advise the Industrial leadership team on major contractual issues
Contract Award and Start-Up
- Define contractual standards and templates aligned with corporate policies
- Ensure governance of award processes in collaboration with the Procurement Director
- Approve high-impact contract strategies
Contract Execution Oversight
- Supervise overall contract performance across the sector
- Ensure consistency of practices across all projects
- Report to executive management
- Ensure proper administrative management of contract changes
Claims, Disputes, and Compliance
- Arbitrate major and strategic disputes
- Define the framework for contractual risk management
- Ensure corporate and legal compliance
- Serve as the main point of contact with the Legal Department for supplier and subcontractor matters
Contract Close-Out
- Approve sensitive contract closures
- Define standards for contract reporting and archiving
- Lead post-project continuous improvement initiatives
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Provide hierarchical and functional leadership to the Contract Administration team
- Represent the function at executive committees
- Define and continuously improve corporate processes, tools, and practices
This role could be for you if you have
- 10 years of experience in the industrial construction sector, including substantial experience in the administration and management of complex contracts
- University degree in Engineering, Law, Construction Management, or any other relevant field
OR
- College diploma (DEC) in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field, combined with significant experience in contract administration, preferably in an industrial environment
- Proven experience managing multi-project contract portfolios, including strategic contract clause analysis, risk management, and support for major contract negotiations
- Strong understanding of the full contract lifecycle, from award to close-out, including change management, claims, disputes, and final accounts
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop specialized contract administration teams and ensure consistency of contractual practices
- Strong financial analysis skills, including contract cost tracking, KPIs, and executive reporting
- Excellent ability to read, interpret, and apply contracts, drawings, specifications, and related legal documents
- Strong proficiency with information systems, office software, and corporate contract management tools
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills in complex contractual situations
- Ability to travel occasionally to project sites as required
