Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader to assist the store manager in overseeing the daily operations of our café located in Toronto. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible supervising various café activities, managing staff, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
Duties
- Supervise and train café staff to deliver outstanding customer service and hospitality.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Manage daily operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining the cafe and equipment.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Assist with creating staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Monitor performance metrics and work with the store manager to implement strategies for improvement in service quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or food service industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
