Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reading, Writing, and Math Tutor to support students in developing essential academic skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, experience working with children, and the ability to tailor instruction to meet diverse learning needs. This role involves providing personalized tutoring sessions to help students improve their literacy and numeracy skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions focused on reading, writing, and math skills.
- Deliver Sylvan lessons that align with each student’s learning goals and curriculum standards.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
- Utilize various teaching tools and resources to enhance understanding and retention of subject matter.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and student achievements.
- Support students in developing study skills and academic strategies for success.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting is preferred.
- Classroom experience or teaching background is highly advantageous.
- Strong writing skills and proficiency in English are required.
- Experience in tutoring or teaching reading, writing, and math is essential.
- Familiarity with different learning styles and ability to adapt instruction accordingly.
- Passion for education and helping students reach their full potential.

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
