About Gateway Dental Clinic
Gateway Dental Clinic, a program of Gateway Community Health Centre, located in Tweed, provides a full range of oral health care to local area residents. We are currently looking for someone to join our team and assist our dentists chairside. We value innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
Position Summary
As an important part of the oral healthcare team, the certified dental assistant assists the dentist during the examination and treatment of clients, provides direct client care, and educates clients on the importance of oral health, performs basic laboratory skills and manages client records, scheduling and accounts payable/receivable.
Qualifications
· Dental Assistant certificate or diploma from a recognized institution
· Evidence of Certification, e.g., NDAEB, CPR and First Aid
· Evidence of Healing Arts Radiation Protection (HARP) certification
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a busy dental practice
· Experience working with seniors and children.
· Knowledge of, or a willingness to learn, about issues that affect residents in our community and the impacts on their overall health.
· Dentrix experience is an asset.
· Front desk experience is an asset.
