SLB is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Drill Bits Sales Representative to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for growing market share and revenue by developing strong relationships with drilling contractors, operators, and key stakeholders across Western Canada. You will promote SLB's SmithBits portfolio, identify new business opportunities, and deliver technical and commercial insights that support customer objectives.
We are looking for a self-starter with strong business acumen, excellent organizational skills, and an established network within the upstream oil and gas industry, specifically in Calgary. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently, identifying new opportunities, and building long-term customer relationships that drive business growth.
Roles and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers through regular visits, technical discussions, and account reviews.

Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities to grow revenue and market share within the drill bits product line.

Create and execute account plans aligned with customer objectives and business growth targets.

Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals, tenders, and quotations.

Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and Product Line teams to deliver effective solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.

Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitor offerings to identify business opportunities and support pricing and commercial strategies.

Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to products, services, and commercial agreements.

Travel occasionally to customer locations, field operations, and SLB facilities to support business development activities.
Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.

Minimum 5 years of sales, account management, or business development experience within the oil and gas industry.

Previous experience in the drilling sector, with exposure to drill bits and well construction activities strongly preferred.

Experience preparing and submitting tenders, quotations, and commercial proposals.

Strong understanding of customer relationship management principles and sales planning processes.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
