Cass Controls is looking for an experienced 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyperson Electrician to join our team in Edson, Alberta.
We are a locally owned electrical contractor working across a wide range of projects, including commercial, residential, industrial, oilfield, service and maintenance work.

Compensation
$36.00–$52.00 per hour, depending on apprenticeship level, qualifications, experience and ability.
We are interested in experienced electricians who can work independently, troubleshoot effectively and take ownership of their work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Perform commercial, residential, industrial and oilfield electrical work
- Complete service calls and troubleshooting
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and blueprints
- Install and modify electrical systems in new construction and renovation projects
- Diagnose electrical problems and determine appropriate repairs
- Complete work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code and applicable safety requirements
- Coordinate with customers, other trades and Cass Controls team members
- Complete required field documentation and job reporting
- Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas
What We're Looking For
Applicants must be either:
- A registered 4th Year Electrical Apprentice, or
- A certified Journeyperson Electrician
Preference will be given to applicants with experience outside strictly residential construction, including commercial, industrial, oilfield, service and troubleshooting experience.
You should also have:
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently when required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Strong understanding of electrical theory and code requirements
- Pride in workmanship and attention to detail
- Ability to safely use electrical testing equipment, power tools and hand tools
- Willingness to travel to job sites in Edson and surrounding areas
- Availability for occasional overtime or after-hours work when required
Safety Certifications
The following certifications are preferred:
- Standard First Aid
- CSO
- H2S
- Fall Protection
- MEWP
- POST and other applicable oilfield/site certifications
Training or certification renewal may be provided for the right candidate.
