We are seeking a skilled and proactive Hotel Handyperson to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and aesthetic appeal of hotel property by performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership qualities, and excellent customer service skills to support a seamless guest experience and uphold the hotel's high standards. Experience in electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and facilities management is highly valued.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hotel facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Oversee small projects or repairs that require supervision or leadership skills.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and hotel policies.
- Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, or flooring repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest or staff repair requests promptly and professionally.
- Supervise or coordinate with vendors or contractors as needed for specialized repairs or installations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and communicate effectively with guests or staff.
- Leadership qualities to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
