We are a high-volume store, serving a large owner base within the community and beyond. Over the course of doing business, we have been recognized for several awards.
We are currently seeking a PART TIME Senior Accountant to join our accounting department.
Role Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll, preparing sales commissions, posting vehicle deals and month end reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage semi-monthly payroll processing, including time tracking, deductions, and benefit administration
- Prepare and process mid-month and month end payroll
- Prepare and calculate sales & business office commissions
- Prepare and remit semi-monthly payroll tax remittance
- Mange and prepare ROEs
- Responsible for benefit administration
- Processing and posting all new/used vehicle sales deals and after sale products
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audits and reporting
- Month end reconciliations
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Process the monthly OEM statement
Qualifications & Competencies
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and payroll administration
- Experience with Reynolds Ignite preferred
- Experience with dealership accounting software is an asset
- Prior dealership accounting experience is highly valued
- Familiarity with OEM statement (Honda or Acura) posting is a strong asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Please note that this is a permanent PART TIME position, you must be available to work 2-3 days per week. Compensation will be based on experience.
