Archon Energy Services Ltd. is looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Journeyman Mechanic to join our team.
We specialize in heavy-duty repair, maintenance, diagnostics, and equipment upgrades for the well-servicing industry. We work with some of the largest companies in the industry and service a wide range of service rigs, support equipment, commercial vehicles, engines, and related equipment. As an Isuzu service dealer, we also perform service and repair work on Isuzu equipment and power-generation applications.
This is a hands-on position for an experienced mechanic who enjoys varied work, challenging diagnostics, and taking ownership of a job from troubleshooting through to completed repair. Our work includes both shop and field service, with opportunities to work on everything from routine maintenance to major repairs, overhauls, electrical diagnostics, and custom equipment installations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair heavy-duty equipment, diesel engines, electrical systems, and support equipment
- Perform repairs, overhauls, preventative maintenance, and equipment inspections
- Work on service rigs and related oilfield support equipment
- Upgrade, assemble, and install mechanical components and equipment
- Install engines, fuel tanks, panels, and other equipment as required
- Perform field service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs at customer locations
- Work directly with the owner, service manager, and other technicians to plan and complete repairs efficiently
- Identify additional repairs or maintenance requirements during inspections and troubleshooting
- Mentor apprentices and help develop their mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Complete accurate work orders, time records, maintenance documentation, and safety reports
- Maintain a high standard of safety, organization, and quality workmanship
- Participate in an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation when required
What We're Looking For
- Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy-Duty Mechanic Journeyman Certificate
- Minimum 4 years of heavy-duty mechanical experience
- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting ability
- Experience with diesel engines and electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose problems and make sound repair decisions independently
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Reliable, organized, and able to complete jobs efficiently
- Valid driver's licence
- Ability to complete drug and alcohol testing
Assets
