What We're Offering
Arbutus Cleaners is a growing residential cleaning company serving the Oceanside region and Nanaimo. We're looking for an experienced cleaner to take on Parksville, Qualicum Beach, and Oceanside clients, with Nanaimo routes available as that side of the business grows.
We handle everything: clients, scheduling, supplies, routing, and communication. Your focus is delivering high quality work and showing up ready to go.
This is part-time with real stability. We guarantee a minimum of 10 hours every week, with most weeks ranging 15–25 hours.
The Work
You'll handle a mix of services depending on what's booked:
- Recurring maintenance cleans, our core service
- Deep cleans and first-time client resets
- Move-out and move-in cleans
- Short-term rental and Airbnb turnovers (these often fall on weekends during peak season)
Work is primarily daytime weekdays. Weekend availability is required occasionally, especially during peak short-term rental season when turnovers concentrate on Saturdays and Sundays. We give as much notice as possible.
This Works Best If You
- Have at least one year of professional residential, hotel, or janitorial cleaning experience
- Are reliable. This matters more to us than anything.
- Are based in Parksville, Qualicum Beach, or the Oceanside area, or are genuinely willing to travel there regularly without hesitation
- Can adapt pace and detail level depending on the service type
- Are comfortable with varying start times and locations week to week
- Work well independently and alongside a partner when needed
Schedule
- Primarily weekdays, with occasional weekend shifts during peak short-term rental season
- Schedule provided 3–7 days in advance; recurring clients scheduled further out
- Typical range is 15–25 hrs/week, with more available as the company grows

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year residential, hotel, or janitorial cleaning experience
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence
- Dependable attendance. This is non-negotiable.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Physically capable of sustained deep cleaning work
