Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver effective language lessons tailored to students’ proficiency levels and learning objectives
- Proofread and review instructional materials to ensure clarity and accuracy
- Provide classroom instruction that incorporates interactive activities and real-life communication scenarios
- Support students with special education needs through individualized tutoring and accommodations
- Maintain organized lesson plans, student records, and progress reports
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and needs
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and language abilities
Experience
- Proven classroom experience in teaching English, French, or Spanish preferred
- Strong writing skills for creating lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students of varying ages and backgrounds
- Experience in tutoring or providing one-on-one instruction is desirable
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple classes and student records efficiently
