Position: Administrative Assistant - Industrial Equipment Service & Shop Admin
Salary: $22-24/hour
Location: Acheson AB
Permanent Full-time position - 40 hours per week Monday - Friday
Seeking an administrative assistant for a full-time position Acheson AB Heavy Equipment Service Shop. Successful candidates will have at least 1-2 years of recent stable experience in an industrial setting, knowledge of a service shop environment is an asset.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the service supervisor with the day-to-day administrative tasks for the service department
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers and customers regarding purchase orders and invoices
- Process purchase orders ensuring all proper documentations are provided to the accounting department
- Coordinate with contractors if needed and with the service supervisor’s directions
- Assisting in work orders, service segments, verifying parts orders, and invoice proposals
- Learn & assist with processing service warranty
- Assist in the warehouse for the parts needed in the shop
- Keep track of shipments ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) and communicate with appropriate personnel
- Perform safety committee duties as required and follow directions from the safety advisor
- Provide support for month-end, year-end and audit processes when needed
- Perform other clerical and administrative support as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of experience as an Admin Assistant in an industrial / service setting
- Strong MS office and general computer skills required
