Job Overview
We are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of Canadian pharmacy experience to join our integrated healthcare team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional with WinRx, and experienced in billing and prescription processing. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations, patient communication, medication preparation, and workflow efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications
- Process prescriptions accurately using WinRx (mandatory requirement)
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to patient inquiries
- Manage inventory: order, receive, and stock medications and supplies
- Maintain accurate patient profiles and pharmacy documentation
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, standards, and safety protocols
- Support medication administration processes under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and workflow efficiency in the pharmacy
- Collaborate with pharmacists and clinic staff to enhance patient care
Qualifications & Skills
- Certified Pharmacy Assistant with minimum 2 years Canadian pharmacy experience
- Professional proficiency with WinRx is mandatory
- Strong skills in billing and processing (pharmacy claims)
- Super‑fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Previous experience in community pharmacy or hospital setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
