Description
This position reports to the Manufacturing Manager and is primarily responsible for weld operations on our entrance systems. Low variety, thin gauge, high volume.
Responsibilities
- Represent Delta’s core values of Integrity, Service and Quality in relationships with both internal staff members and external customers and suppliers.
- Follow Delta Elevator policies and procedures, Employee Handbook and Health & Safety Manual guidelines.
- FCAW and GMAW welding
- Welding on a variety of thickness of material. Typically 18ga to ½”.
- Operate stud welding machine.
- Operate spot welder machine.
- Operating machinery including band saw, milling machine, drill press, magnetic drill, grinder and belt sander.
- Operate material handling equipment including forklift, crane and pump cart.
- Clean, sweep and keep work area clean.
- Other duties as assigned.

· Prevent the use of unsafe, non-conforming or environmentally damaging products
Qualifications
Skills
· Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
· Mechanically apt (using hand tools, understanding of wrenches, hardware etc.)
· Physically capable (some parts are heavy and need to be lifted and moved frequently; job requires a significant amount of bending, and reaching)
· Able to attain CWB welding certificates
· Able to attain forklift and crane license
· Ability to work as a team player
· Self- motivated
· Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting.
