Landscape Crew Leader
Nova Peak Contracting is hiring a Landscape Crew Leader for our residential and commercial landscaping team.
This is an entry-level leadership role, ideal for someone who has experience as a lead hand, skilled labourer, equipment operator, or landscape crew member and is ready to grow into more responsibility.
The main priority for this position is strong skid steer operating ability. The right candidate should also have basic landscaping knowledge, a good attitude, confidence working with others, and an interest in building a long-term career with our company.
This is a hands-on position. You will work alongside the crew while helping keep daily tasks organized, communicating site needs to management, supporting newer team members, and helping ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Confident and safe skid steer operation
- Working hands-on with the landscape crew
- Helping organize tools, materials, and equipment
- Assisting with grading, excavation prep, base preparation, drainage, hardscaping, softscaping, and general landscape construction
- Helping keep the crew productive and on task
- Communicating site issues, delays, or material needs to management
- Maintaining clean and safe job sites
- Setting a positive example through attitude, work ethic, and quality
Requirements:
- Strong skid steer experience
- Landscaping, excavation, construction, or outdoor trade experience
- Basic understanding of landscaping
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment
Previous leadership experience, mini excavator experience, and safety certifications are considered assets.
Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
