Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Job Summary: Our client is a growing food manufacturing company, and they are looking to add an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to the team! This role is responsible for supporting food safety and quality standards across the facility through routine inspections, testing, documentation, and process monitoring.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent. 100% on-site.
Job Location: London, ON.
Shift Structure: Monday to Friday; Afternoon shift (3pm-11pm) - Flexible and willing to work weekends and occasional night shifts when required
Compensation Structure: $20.00-$24.00 per hour (depending on experience) + benefits

Responsibilities:
· Complete routine quality and food safety inspections throughout the facility and production process
· Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs), GMP practices, pre-operational conditions, and other prerequisite programs
· Inspect incoming materials and finished products to ensure they meet established specifications
· Review and complete QA documentation, records, and production checks accurately and consistently
· Follow HACCP plans, Standard Operating Procedures, and other food safety programs
· Conduct microbiological sampling, including environmental swabbing and air sampling
· Monitor production lines and ensure CCP records are completed accurately
· Monitor sanitation, pest control, housekeeping, and overall facility conditions
· Assist with employee training related to GMP, HACCP, allergens, CCPs, and food safety practices
· Support the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, product returns, and quality concerns
· Assist with the calibration and verification of scales, thermometers, metal detectors, and other QA equipment
· Participate in internal and external audits and support operational quality reviews
· Conduct quality audits and communicate findings, concerns, and recommended corrective actions to QA and Plant Management
· Assist with employee orientations related to quality, regulatory, and food safety requirements
· Maintain accurate QA records and ensure documentation remains up to date
· Perform additional quality and food safety duties as required
Skills/Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma in Microbiology, Quality Assurance, Food Science, or a related discipline
- 2–3 years of practical QA/QC experience within the food manufacturing industry
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP and GMP
- Solid understanding of food manufacturing processes and food safety principles
- Experience with microbiological sampling and environmental testing is an asset
- Previous experience with LIMS is an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete technical documentation
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with production and QA teams
- Flexible and willing to work weekends and occasional night shifts when required
