Penfor Construction, a subsidiary company of AgriHub Inc., offers “turn-key” General Contracting for the construction of agricultural and commercial facilities. Our team will design, estimate and oversee complete construction, ensuring that the project is completed on time and on budget.
We are currently looking for a Project Administrator to join our team. This position will be based out of our head office in Blumenort, Manitoba.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Project Administrator provides administrative and logistical support to the project manager and team, ensuring that all aspects of a construction project run smoothly.
What you'll do:
- Manage files for multiple projects assigned by the Director of Finance
- Setting up projects in the system and transferring quotes and estimates into the new project
- Serving as a central communication point between the project manager, team members, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Generating customer contracts, changing orders, and trade subcontracts for signature
- Creating purchase orders and placing orders for materials required for the project
- Coordinating delivery dates for the assigned project’s product
- Preparing and sending out monthly job billings for all active projects
- Ensuring all project costs are correctly coded
- Tracking project expenditures, assisting with cost control, and preparing job budget reports.
- Managing and organizing all project documents, ensuring documentation requirements are fully achieved
- Other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
- Grade 12 education or GED equivalent
- Experience in the construction industry preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Experience working in ERP Software
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent internal/external customer service orientation and good teamwork skills.
