Alliance provides Non-emergency patient transfer services to health care facilities, private residences and long-term care homes as well as First Aid for local events.
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and patient-focused Patient Transfer Attendant to join our healthcare team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience as a Personal Support Worker (PSW), Paramedic, healthcare aide, or other direct patient care backgrounds who are passionate about helping patients feel safe, supported, and respected throughout their healthcare journey.
About the Role
As a Patient Transfer Attendant, you will play an important role in patient comfort and care by safely transporting patients throughout the facility while providing reassurance, dignity, and compassionate interaction. You will work closely with local hospitals, hospices, and medical clinics to ensure patients experience safe, respectful, and comfortable transfers throughout their care journey.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on patient interaction, mobility assistance, and being part of a collaborative healthcare environment.
- Must have a current valid Standard First Aid with CPR (level C) + AED qualification for adults and children – Advanced First Aid training or higher is an asset.
- Must have valid class G driver's licence or higher for a minimum of 3 years and a clean driving record
- Must provide a clean vulnerable sector check
- Must provide a current immunization record (including Tetanus, Diphtheria, Hepatitis B, Poliomyelitis)
- Flexible work availability (days, evenings, overnights, weekdays, weekends, holidays)
- Physically fit, ability to lift, 250lbs with a partner
- Ability to effectively communicate – in English – verbally, non-verbally and in writing.
- Able to work up to a 12 hour shift (days, nights, weekends, holidays)
