We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable piano teachers to provide in-home piano lessons to children in Oakville beginning September 2026. Candidates must have own transportation- bus/transit does not work for this position.
This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who enjoy working with young students and want a flexible schedule while making a positive impact through music education.
Position Details

- Pay: $35.00–$40.00 per hour, based on education and experience

Requirements
- Previous piano teaching experience
- Experience teaching children
- Current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence (required for travelling between students' homes)
- Availability on weekdays during after-school hours (late afternoons and evenings)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and travel between lessons while staying on schedule
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, individualized piano lessons for students of varying ages and skill levels
- Teach piano technique, music reading, and music theory
- Create a positive, encouraging, and supportive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare students for recitals, performances, and examinations where appropriate
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and practice goals
- Arrive on time and maintain a consistent teaching schedule
- Foster a lifelong love of music while helping students build confidence and achieve their musical goals
