Overview
We at New Life Global, are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Leader to join our team. The Camp Leader will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. This position is perfect for individuals who have a passion for working with children and are eager to inspire young minds through fun and interactive activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education or tutoring, and will be committed to fostering a positive camp experience.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the program development, leadership and team building of the camp counsellors.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Educate children on various subjects through hands-on experiences and creative projects.
- Foster a positive camp culture by encouraging teamwork, respect, and inclusivity among campers.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized camp environment, ensuring all materials are safe for use.
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate special events or field trips.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and handle requests from multiple sources
Experience & Qualification
- Previous experience working with children in a camp setting or educational environment is preferred.
- Have a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a leadership capacity is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage children of various ages.
- Ability to create an inclusive atmosphere that respects diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in planning activities.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
- High School /Secondary education completed or in progress
To be eligible
- Must be between 15 and 30 years old
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee with legal work authorization
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
