Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced L3 Windows System Administrator to support enterprise-level Windows infrastructure within a fast-paced financial services environment.
The role involves advanced troubleshooting, vulnerability remediation, system administration, and support of critical Windows servers and virtualization platforms. The candidate will also handle escalated incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure high system availability across production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform L3 support for Windows Server environments (2008/2012/2016)
- Remediate system vulnerabilities and ensure security compliance
- Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory and Exchange 2016 environments
- Manage physical and virtual servers ensuring maximum uptime
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of Windows OS and infrastructure issues
- Support VMware environments (ESX, Virtual Center, VM creation and management)
- Conduct system builds, upgrades, migrations, and patch management
- Perform P2V/V2V conversions and VM optimization
- Monitor system performance (CPU, memory, disk, network usage)
- Manage server hardware troubleshooting (HP ILO, Dell, IBM systems)
- Apply security policies, logging, and file system permissions management
- Participate in on-call rotation for production support
- Collaborate with L1/L2 teams for issue escalation and resolution
- Maintain documentation, standards, and operational procedures
- Support ITIL-based Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in Windows system administration
- Strong expertise in Windows Server environments
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, and VMware
- Experience with enterprise troubleshooting and system optimization
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work on-call and in shifts when required
