Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food preparation and restaurant management, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate staff during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient food preparation, cooking, and serving processes
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and ensuring cleanliness
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
- Train new team members on food safety, food preparation, and service protocols
- Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and motivate team members to achieve operational goals
- Ensure adherence to all safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Handle customer complaints or concerns effectively to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of quality food items
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant management
- Supervising experience within the food service or hospitality industry is highly preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including food industry best practices and kitchen experience
- Experience in serving or barista roles is a plus but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing daily tasks and staff schedules
Pay: $16.00-$32.00 per hour
