Job Overview:
Soluna is seeking dedicated and experienced Servers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, a deep understanding of fine dining service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring each guest enjoys a memorable and seamless dining experience through attentive and personalized service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service by anticipating guest needs and ensuring a high-quality dining experience.
- Take and relay food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring timely and precise delivery.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendations.
- Offer expert wine and beverage recommendations to enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and orderly throughout service, addressing guest needs promptly.
- Collaborate closely with fellow servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
- Promote daily specials, up sell menu items, and personalize guest interactions.
- Address guest concerns professionally, resolving issues effectively or escalating to management when necessary.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Server in a fine dining restaurant.
- Smart Serve certification (required).
- Strong knowledge of wine and beverage pairings.
- Experience with the Clover POS system (preferred).
- Fluent in English (required); French is an asset but not required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of fine dining service standards and etiquette.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and move for extended periods in a high-energy setting.
