Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Interventionist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children requiring behavioral support, implementing individualized intervention plans to promote positive development and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities
- Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions tailored to each child's individualized plan
- Collect and document data on behavior and progress accurately and consistently
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to support the child's development goals
- Assist with daily routines and activities to promote social, emotional, and behavioral skills
- Administer medication as prescribed, following all safety protocols and documentation procedures
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment that encourages positive behavior and learning
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding progress, challenges, and updates on intervention strategies
- Participate in ongoing training sessions related to special education, behavior management, and medical procedures
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is preferred
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavioral intervention techniques is desirable
- Experience with medication administration and understanding of medical terminology is a plus
- Familiarity with data collection methods for tracking behavioral progress is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team are essential
Pay: $17.97-$21.00 per hour
