About the role:
Carpets for Less is growing and they are actively looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join their Sales team! The role is a mix of in-bound sales and out-bound account management, with huge potential for growth. They are looking for someone who is not afraid to learn new things and willing to take chances. The successful candidate will sell inside their showroom and actively acquire new business opportunities through networking, outreach and building relationships with contractors, property management agencies and builders.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist walk-in customers in the showroom, providing expert advice on flooring options, installation and project budgeting
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating in a professional and polite manner
- Manage customers projects through the sales process from beginning to end. Including:
- performing accurate on-site measurements,
- compiling estimates and providing quotes
- closing sales,
- ordering materials and coordinating with installers
- sending invoices and ensuring prompt payments
- Coordinate with installation teams to schedule jobs and ensure smooth project completion
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, renovation companies, property managers and commercial clients to generate new business opportunities.
- Visiting job sites and client locations for follow-ups regarding quality assurance if/when needed
- Prospect new business opportunities through networking, referrals, community involvement, attendance at trade shows and targeted outreach.
- Actively create and participate in marketing initiatives
- Keep showroom and materials organized and ready for business
- Other tasks as required
What Success Looks Like
- Growing sales revenue from new and existing customers
- Building relationships with contractors, builders and property managers
- Maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings
- Generating repeat business and referrals
- Managing projects accurately from quote to installation
Qualifications
- Previous retail or sales experience (flooring, construction, or home improvement industries preferred)
- Familiarity with floor plans, understanding measurements, and calculating material quantities
- Previous experience with interior design is an asset
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Basic computer skills for quotes, invoicing, and customer follow-ups
·Valid driver’s license is required for customer visits, site measurements and networking activities.
