The Tarcott Group is a successful building maintenance and construction company in the Fraser Valley, founded in 2008. We handle an assortment of work from building envelope projects, water restoration and deck replacements – just to name a few. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanic to join our team and oversee the efficient operation of our vehicle fleet.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of vehicles and equipment
- Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of fleet inventory, maintenance history, and expenses
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor fuel consumption and implement strategies to improve fuel efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments to meet operational needs and customer service requirements
- Provide leadership and guidance to the fleet team
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience working with industrial equipment
- Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks such as welding, assembling, and maintaining vehicles and equipment
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy lifting equipment is preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay: $32.00-$50.00 per hour

Experience:
- Mechanic: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- BC Drivers License (preferred)
