Seeds & Sprouts Childcare is a licensed home daycare located in Marysville. We have a close knit community and really work to create a space where all children feel welcomed, empowered, and free to explore. We spend a lot of time outside and love to visits around our community at local parks, the library, and the Nashwaak River. We have a maximum of 6 children at a time, ages 1 - 6. We believe strongly in the power of connection and co-regulation and risky play. We follow the New Brunswick Curriculum Framework - English.
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Inclusion Support Worker to join our team. This role is a shared Inclusion Support Worker working with two children within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, strong communication skills, and experience in special education or early childhood education. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational experiences and development.
Responsibilities
- Utilize neuro-affirming techniques to support children
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies for children
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, fostering engagement and participation in learning activities
- Help create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, understanding, and collaboration among all students
- Assist with behavioral management and de-escalation techniques as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to monitor student progress and adapt support strategies accordingly
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning space that meets health and safety standards
Qualifications
- First Aid must be completed prior to starting
- ECE or Related Bachelor an asset
- Prior experience working with children preferred
- Knowledge of neuro-affirming practices to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder an asset
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and families
- Passion for supporting children's development and fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Ability to be patient, adaptable, and empathetic in various classroom situations
Pay: $16.83-$27.33 per hour
