Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable General Labour Worker to join our team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations, construction projects, and heavy equipment handling to ensure smooth workflow and efficient material movement. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, heavy lifting, and operating various types of equipment, with a focus on safety and productivity.
Duties
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as clamp trucks, forklifts, and cranes
- Assist with order picking and shipping & receiving processes within the warehouse management system
- Operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts and other machinery required for construction or warehouse tasks
- Support construction activities by performing general labour tasks such as site cleanup, material handling, and assembly
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory in the warehouse or work site
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to protocols during heavy lifting and equipment operation
- Support warehouse distribution activities by efficiently managing stock movement and order fulfillment
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or construction is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picking procedures
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes and inventory control
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with warehouse or construction site safety protocols is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy machinery responsibly and follow safety guidelines at all times
Pay: $17.20-$29.03 per hour
