Details of the position:
The technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, installing, and troubleshooting electrical systems and may incorporate some commercial work from time to time. Must be able to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot and repair control systems, motors, PLC, and other types of electrical equipment. The Journeyman must also be familiar with automation, connections, and terminations. The position requires active listening, critical thinking, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
This position also requires the candidate to consistently resolve concerns that deal with a changing client request and collaborate and execute efficiencies to meet a client's need.
Responsibilities:
- Install electrical circuits, as well as panels, conduit, protecting devices, switches, and equipment required to accommodate the CEC
- troubleshoot and repair control systems, motors, pumps, PLC, and other types of electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair automation lines and components
- Installs repairs, or replaces electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and lighting
- Ensure all electrical maintenance operations follow applicable regulations and trade practices
- Lay out circuits, set up breaker and panel boxes, and install fixtures and lights as well as other electrical equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications
- Tests electrical systems and devices for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
- Do preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems (including power distribution equipment)
- Provide supervision, technical assistance, leadership, and training to apprentices
- Must be able to provide an excellent standard of customer service and representation
- Must be able to effectively communicate with clients
- Complies with standards and procedures of industry, Safety Manual, and abide by safety rules
- Participate in job site safety
- Properly maintaining all paperwork, policies, and procedures.

Certifications and Qualifications
- Valid Electrical Trade Certification
- High School Diploma
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Fall Protection
- Ariel Lift
- CSTS-09
- Must have own tools
- First Aid is an asset
