We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and highly organized TEAM MEMBER to join our Student Care team in Metro Vancouver and the Tri-Cities.
This is a unique hybrid role combining professional Student Care leadership with meaningful community engagement. Approximately twenty (20) scheduled office hours each week are dedicated to Student Care administration, case management and operational responsibilities. The remainder of the role is community based and focuses on supporting students, recruiting and supporting host families, conducting home visits, and building strong relationships throughout your assigned communities.

About the Role
This is a full-time, 12-month contract position that combines two integrated areas of responsibility.
PART A:
Approximately 20 scheduled weekday office hours (remote) each week dedicated to:
- Student case management
- Student wellbeing and support
- Communication with schools, school boards, agents and parents
- Custodianship responsibilities
- Operational coordination
- Reporting and documentation
- Database management
- Policy implementation
- Complex student situations
- Departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives
PART B:
The remainder of your role is community based and includes:
- Recruiting and onboarding host families
- Conducting home visits and home assessments
- Matching students with suitable host families
- Supporting students throughout their program
- Supporting host families
- Conducting student monitoring visits
- Coordinating arrivals, departures and homestay moves
- Building relationships with schools and community partners
- Responding to emergency situations when required
- Promoting MLI Education Group within your assigned communities
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people first and foremost.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in international education, student services, homestay, education, youth services or a related field
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- A positive, professional and customer-focused approach
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Confidence working with students, families, schools and community partners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online systems
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
Requirements
- Valid BC Driver's Licence
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Metro Vancouver and the Tri-Cities
- Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Successful Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Suitable home office with reliable internet access
