Forklift Operator & Load Builder – Central Langford (Newest Location)
Central Construction Materials, proudly Canadian owned and operated, is excited to welcome a Full-Time Forklift Operator & Load Builder to our newest location in Langford, BC.
We’re looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused individual to join our growing team. The wage range is $22 – $26 per hour, with extended health benefits available after 3 months.
In this role, you’ll be an important part of our yard operations—building and staging orders for delivery, keeping our yard and warehouse organized, and upholding the Central standard for safety, quality, and customer service.
You will report directly to the Lead Hand and work closely with our Shipper to ensure orders are accurate, secure, and ready on time.
Key Responsibilities
(including but not limited to)
- Build orders to required specifications for delivery.
- Safely load and unload building materials using a forklift.
- Verify load contents for accuracy and secure materials for transport.
- Assist customers in the yard as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager.
Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Team-oriented with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
- Detail-oriented with solid math skills.
- Forklift experience required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable with standing/sitting for long periods, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling as part of daily duties.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Langford, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Have you worked with building materials such as lumber, drywall engineered wood?
Experience:
- Forklift: 1 year (required)
- lumberyard, warehouse or building: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
